Hungry Travelers Are in for Delicious Dining as HMSHost Opens Eateries at the New Salt Lake City International Airport

Leading Global Restauranteur Brings Local and National Favorites to SLC Travelers

SALT LAKE CITY (September 15, 2020) – Today, with the grand opening of the newly rebuilt Salt Lake City International Airport comes five new dining options operated by global restauranteur HMSHost. The newly built terminal is part of the $4.1 billion renewal project, and is the first major airport hub rebuild in the 21st century. Salt Lake City Airport continues to promote their “Fly Healthy Promise,” that includes enhanced health and safety protocols throughout the new airport and extending into dining and retail.

“We are excited to bring safe and accessible, not to mention amazing foodservice options to travelers as part of the newly relaunched Salt Lake City International Airport,” said HMSHost Vice President of Business Development Michael Price. “We are confident that travelers will have an enriched experience with great dining options as they go through the extraordinary rebuild of the SLC Airport. We are thankful to the Salt Lake City Department of Airports, the City of Salt Lake City, and our restaurant partners and teams for allowing us to safely enhance the dining experience in this new airport.”

Local Salt Lake City favorite Market Street Grill, known for its fresh seafood and steaks, will bring the local flavor of the city and its elegant atmosphere to SLC International Airport. The restaurant’s expansive menu includes several seafood options such as fresh oysters, lobster, crab and battered fish, as well as high quality steak, pasta and salad. The more casual lunch menu includes seafood, burgers, tacos, salad, soup, sandwiches and pasta. HMSHost operated a Market Street Grill at the original SLC International Airport and the looks forward to the brand’s return.

HMSHost is also opening beloved national casual dining restaurant, California Pizza Kitchen, known for its California-style pizza and eclectic menu that’s always on trend. The offerings will include breakfast, the brand’s famous Original BBQ Chicken Pizza as well as additional pizza options, appetizers, soup, salad and sandwiches. Travelers can also expect creative cocktails and a full wine and beer list.

HMSHost will operate two Starbucks® Coffee locations, one pre-security and one post-security. The global leader in gourmet coffee is known for its inviting stores that provide a comforting space to refresh with one of their signature beverages, baked goods, sandwiches, and snacks – perfect for travelers looking for an easy pick-me-up on the go. Additionally, Shake Shack, the critically acclaimed modern day “roadside” burger stand known for its 100% all-natural Angus beef burgers, chicken sandwiches, griddled flat-top dogs, spun-fresh frozen custard and crinkle-cut fries, will be a welcome addition to SLC International Airport.

All five restaurants open this week with the official relaunch of Salt Lake City International Airport.
