HMSHost to Open New Starbucks and Chick-Fil-A at Dayton International Airport
Southwest Ohio travelers to benefit from new and refurbished quick service and casual dining restaurants
VANDALIA, OH—Travelers at Dayton International Airport will soon discover a new Starbucks and Chick-fil-A before taking off on a flight. These additions, as well as further enhancements, are a result of a newly approved lease extension agreement between global restaurateur HMSHost and the airport. The new agreement extends the partnership between the Dayton International Airport and HMSHost through 2020.
As part of the agreement, a brand new Starbucks in Concourse B will soon be available to satisfy coffee lovers on the go. This will mean both concourses would be home to the coffee giant. A new Chick-fil-A in the airport’s Main Concourse will feature the mouthwatering flavors of the 100% natural whole breast filet chicken sandwiches, delicious salads, nuggets with dipping sauces, and milkshakes for which the brand is known.
“We are very excited about continuing our relationship with HMSHost and are confident that the new food and beverage options will enhance the traveler’s experience at the airport,” said Dayton International Airport Director of Aviation Terrence Slaybaugh. “These new restaurants, combined with beloved brands like Max & Erma’s, are why our long-term partnership with HMSHost will continue to be a reinforcing factor to the Dayton Airport motto of Easy to and through.”
HMSHost will also refurbish the Main Concourse Max & Erma’s, a unique restaurant offering a great dining experience in a fun, casual atmosphere, serving Max’s trademark burgers and Erma’s fresh-baked chocolate chip cookies. In Concourse B, HMSHost will continue to operate MVP Sports Bar and Quiznos. Concourse C will retain the 12th Fairway restaurant, as well as an existing Starbucks. The new openings and refurbishments are scheduled for completion in fall of 2013.
“HMSHost is very pleased about extending our valued partnership with Dayton International Airport, and to be improving dining options for Dayton’s travelers,” said HMSHost Senior Director of Business Development Bryan Loden. “Dayton Airport is known for its many great attributes, from being the birthplace of aviation to its extremely convenient and accessible location. With that in mind, HMSHost is extremely excited about adding two nationally award winning and revered brands to Dayton’s dining program.”
The concession improvements are the latest steps in a multi-faceted plan to enhance the customer experience at Dayton International Airport.
