HMSHost Invites Travelers to “Eat Mor Chikin®” in Charlotte Douglas International Airport; Chick-fil-A Now Open
HMSHost brings beloved brand to Main Atrium food court
CHARLOTTE — Taken a flight out of Charlotte Douglas International Airport lately? If so, you may have noticed one of Chick-fil-A’s “Eat Mor Chickin®” Cows giving a warm welcome to throngs of travelers coming to visit the newest dining option in the airport’s Main Atrium. Global restaurateur HMSHost opened the newest Chick-fil-A to grace an airport on June 1, 2017. Since then the restaurant has already greeted many faces happy to see the addition of this beloved brand to the food court area (between security checkpoint B and Brookwood Farms BBQ and near 1897 Market).
“We are ecstatic to see that travelers in Charlotte have had such an enthusiastic response to the new Chick-fil-A in Charlotte Douglas International Airport,” said HMSHost Vice President of Business Development Stephen Douglas. “Travelers admire and seek out Chick-fil-A and we are proud to be partners with such a great brand in such a great airport.”
Chick-fil-A is the leading brand in the industry in the chicken category, famous for food and service that has commanded a loyal following for many years. HMSHost operates several Chick-fil-A restaurants in airports across North America. The brand serves and exceeds the needs of travelers in airports through the same formula that has created success on the street and in malls; by focusing on simple, fresh, high-quality ingredients and keeping customer service top of mind.
“Charlotte Douglas International Airport is thrilled to partner with HMSHost to offer Chick-fil-A as one of more than 50 food options available in the terminal,” said Haley Gentry, deputy aviation director/chief business & innovation officer at CLT. “For many, the June 1 opening date couldn’t come fast enough. The popular fast food restaurant is the Airport’s most requested concession and continues to be a big hit with customers. We’re happy to provide our 44 million passengers with yet another must-stop spot to grab a bite to eat when traveling through the Airport.”
This location opened just in time too, because Cow Appreciation Day, Chick-fil-A’s largest, single-day customer appreciation event is Tuesday, July 11, 2017. The Cow Appreciation Day celebration will last from restaurant opening through 7 p.m. local time. Customers can visit www.cowappreciationday.com/ for a full list of redeemable items and to prepare for the occasion. Hopefully some loyal patrons and daring travelers show up to the airport in their best cow costume or cow spotted duds ready to say “Moo” for “Chikin”! #CowAppreciationDay
