Great Divide Brewhouse and Kitchen Lands at Denver International Airport
Iconic Denver brewery opens first restaurant for world travelers; debuts new specialty beer
DENVER (April 4, 2019) – Great Divide Brewing Company is uniting world travelers at Denver International Airport with the opening of the new Great Divide Brewhouse and Kitchen on Concourse C. Now, travelers can explore Denver’s local beer culture by experiencing the flavors and lifestyle that is uniquely Colorado without ever leaving the airport.
This exciting, new full-service dining experience opened in collaboration with Great Divide Brewing Company, Denver International Airport, and global restaurateur HMSHost and its Airport Concessions Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (ACDBE) joint venture partner Colleen Forst of Cicerone, LLC.
“Denver is well known for our craft breweries and we are delighted to bring one of the best to DEN for our passengers to enjoy,” said airport CEO Kim Day. “We love the idea of providing local experiences and tastes at the airport and Great Divide Brewhouse and Kitchen is a great brand to help represent the Mile High City.”
Great Divide Brewhouse and Kitchen offers the brewery’s full line-up of award-winning craft beers, including a rotation of small-batch and seasonal brews, along with a new specialty beer crafted in celebration of its first airport restaurant – the aptly named Amelia Mary Blonde Ale. Great Divide’s beer is even featured in signature cocktails such as the Chairlift which includes the brewery’s Colette Farmhouse Ale, along with Peach Street's Goat Vodka, cold pressed carrot juice, fresh lemon juice, and ginger syrup.
“Great Divide is an iconic Denver institution and now we’re thrilled to make it the perfect stop for travelers to enjoy its award-winning craft beer, along with perfectly matched culinary delights before or after their flight,” said HMSHost Vice President of Business Development Stephen Douglas. “We’re grateful to partner with Denver International Airport and Great Divide Brewing on making this exciting opening a reality for millions of world travelers.”
While beer is what Great Divide is known for, travelers will also become fans of the Brewhouse and Kitchen’s new chef-driven menu with regionally inspired flavors. Menu dishes incorporate some of Great Divide’s craft beer into the ingredients, such as the Yeti Braised Short Rib Tacos and the Farmhouse Ale Chicken. The menu features a variety of small plates, soups and salads like the Colorado Lamb Meatballs, Zucchini Frites, Bison Chili, and Baby Arugula and Kale salad, among other appetizing choices.
Not to be outdone by the small plates, salads, and entrees, save room for the featured desert of Bread Pudding with Cap'n Crunch and white chocolate. Early morning travelers won’t miss out on the deliciousness. Some breakfast favorites include the Breakfast Burrito and the Chicken and Waffles. Travelers in an extra time crunch can stop-by the designated grab-and-go section to pick-up drinks and snacks for their flight.
“Great Divide opened in 1994 and ever since DIA opened in 1995 we’ve been interested in having a location there,” said Great Divide Brewing Co. founder, Brian Dunn. “It feels great to see it finally come to fruition with our partner HMSHost! Great Divide has been in the Denver community for 25 years and having the Great Divide Brewhouse and Kitchen on Concourse C supports our strategy of being a strong regional brewery with a focus on our own backyard.”
Great Divide Brewhouse and Kitchen welcomes airport travelers to The Mile-High City with its bold architectural design details including exposed wood beams, stone walls, a customized beer can art wall, and unique displays of Great Divide graphics, including a life size yeti silhouette graphic. The restaurant provides locals a feel for what they love about the Denver brewery and visitors an authentic experience. Much needed power outlets are found throughout the full-service bar and seating areas to keep travelers fully charged and connected.
At the new restaurant, travelers can even pick-up an assortment of Great Divide retail items including hats, custom shirts, glassware, key chains, bottle openers, and more that make for perfect souvenirs and lasting memories of their craft beer experience.
